Plastic cutlery may be next on the list to face a ban in the war against single-use plastic, Tate already has bamboo straws / wooden stirrers.

Our wrapped wooden forks are supplied in individual paper wrappers. Made from 100% natural, renewable and sustainable resources – an eco-friendly alternative to plastic forks. Our disposable wooden forks are sturdy and made from sustainable FSC® birch wood. Each fork is hygienically wrapped in a kraft brown paper wrapper, which is 100% plastic-free. Both the fork and its wrapper are commercially compostable and biodegradable.

For our customers in catering and hospitality with on-the-go dishes that require the provision of disposable cutlery or stirrers, we recommend wooden cutlery or stirrers carrying FSC or PEFC certification as the most environmentally responsible choice. Made from a renewable resource, wood is a completely natural material that is compostable at the end of its life. For stirrers, we also suggest the introduction of controlled-use stirrer dispensers, which can have a significant impact on the frequency and quantity of stirrers being used.
